Dick's Last Resort.

If you’re more of a masochist than a sadist, Dick’s Last Resort Restaurant may be just up your alley. With locations all over America including Chicago, Boston and Dallas, Dick’s will satisfy your impulses to be treated rudely, called names and ridiculed by restaurant staff. If that sounds like everyday dining to you, rest assured that Dick’s will kindly write out these insults and put them on dunce caps which you’re obligated to wear while eating. 

I have actually personally been to this restaurant when I was living in the states when I was younger. We lived in Dallas, Texas and my parents took my brother and I here quite often! I was only 5 years old... shame. All I remember was playing with balloon swords and having hats made out of balloons, and who can forget the condoms being blown up and flying around the restaurant... great vibe for the more mature audience! 

Yellow Treehouse Cafe'

Built around a redwood tree near Auckland, New Zealand, the Yellow Treehouse Café will fulfill all of your fantasies about treehouse life, and then some. Designed by Pacific Environment Architects as part of a marketing campaign for the area’s yellow pages, the café is no longer open for dinner but can be rented for private parties.

Dinner in the sky!

Not everyone can stomach eating a meal while dangling 150 feet above the ground from a crane, even if you’re not usually afraid of heights. At Dinner in the Sky in Belgium, diners are strapped into chairs, raised to half the height of Big Ben and served meals like ham salad and sauteed prawns that are cooked in a small oven in the center of the structure. Not sure if i could pull that one off, could you?

The Ice Restaurant in Dubai

Almost everything at the restaurant is sculpted out of ice. Diners will sit on ice benches or chairs, eat at ice tables, out of ice plates, drink from ice glasses served from a bar made of ice. The restaurant is Dubai-based Sharaf Group’s enterprise while technical inputs came from Canada-based Iceculture Inc, who are credited with building ice lounges around the world. How amazing?!

Fire and Ice Hotel

If you're looking for a huge menu because you're not sure what to eat- Fire and Ice is the place to go! Situated in New Church Street, Cape Town, they have absolutely amazing food and beautiful decor. The best thing on their menu for me is the adult (alcoholic) milkshakes... From Amarula to Tequila, they have it all in milkshake flavours! Take your kids there too for regular delicious milkshakes. Lounge on the couches, sit at a table or book out a private booth for a romantic evening! My faourite part? The bathrooms! I won't give anything away, go have a look for yourself.

Knead

Knead bakery, situated in the vibe of Kloof street is a real treat. They laid back, "farmhouse" atmosphere is just something I can't get enough of. The service is great and the people are friendly, my favourite meal at Knead is the PIZZA! The thin, crusty-based, square shaped pizza is something different and absolutely delicious... Huge variety to choose from on the menu that will satisfy any person that walks in there. Its is a great place to go with your friends, have coffee, eat pizza and chat away!

Bombay Bicycle Club

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in Cape Town at the moment!! The eccentric look, the eccentric people and the out-of-this-world food makes this place to die for! Part of the Madame Zingara family, Bombay offers a range of interesting foods, my favourite? Chili poppers and the chocolate chili steak... YUM! The decor inside is something so different and unique, like something i have never personally seen in a restaurant, go check it out! You really wont be disappointed. Unless you don't book, then you will be disappointed....
